This project was a full interior renovation designed to transform an outdated, compartmentalized first floor into a bright, cohesive, and highly functional living space. The kitchen and surrounding areas were taken down to the studs, allowing for a complete reconfiguration of the layout and the addition of larger openings, including new windows and French doors, to bring in natural light.

One of the primary challenges was the home’s limited flow and lack of usable space. We addressed this by creating a more open, intentional floor plan while incorporating flexible elements like a sliding partition, allowing the homeowners to maintain separation when needed without sacrificing openness.

The kitchen was fully rebuilt with a clean, timeless aesthetic, featuring custom-installed cabinetry, marble countertops and backsplash, and updated mechanical systems throughout. New red oak flooring was installed and carried across the first floor, creating continuity and warmth.

Both bathrooms were also renovated to improve functionality and elevate the overall design. The result is a light-filled, thoughtfully designed home that blends classic character with modern performance and everyday livability.
